We woke up and packed for a day in a ryokan. Then we left to go to Himeji where we stowed our bags in a locker, got some umbrellas and stuff for the unexpected typhoon (it's just like light warm rain all day). We then went and walked all over Himeji castle for most of the day, it was really cool, we saw some of the restoration, and it was beautiful.

There were cats hiding from the rain under trees on our way up. Back down we bought souvenirs. Our feet were killing us but we walked back to the station, on the way buying tayaki and ice cream that was amazingly delicious.

We took a taxi to the ryokan at dusk so I couldn't see but it looked like the countryside out here is great. We're on or by mount Shosha. We are staying at this amazing traditional ryokan where we had this like 15 course dinner and then soaked in the indoor hot springs for a long time and it was glorious.

Now we're sitting in our room watching something called Miss Pilot that looks cute. Tomorrow I want to get up early and try the outdoor hot spring before we go back to Osaka.
